Paris  Personal Tours

Ok, obviously, to do stuff for free in Paris, it's going to be without me! But it can still be done. And it's even more recommended that you do it if you've been with me the day before so that you can take time to digest all the history and art I will have been feeding you with earlier... (but the tips below will work even if our paths don't cross).

Paris is indeed an expensive city to live in and/or to visit (if you want to do it right), but it can sometimes be done on a budget. Here below are a few cost-free activities that you can accomplish while you're here:

Walking up and down the Champs-Elysées.

Walking up and down the hill of Montmartre and visit the Sacré-Coeur basilica.

Visit the City Island and the outside of the Notre-Dame Cathedral.

Visit the Luxembourg gardens (picture above).

Visit the Petit Palais.

Visit the Carnavalet museum.

Visit the Parc Monceau.

Visit the Père Lachaise cemetery.

Visit the Parc des Buttes Chaumont.

Go to the Flea Market (if you have a good sense of orientation and if you can resist temptation)

Go to the Champ-de-Mars (in the morning) or to the Trocadero square (in the afternoon) to take pictures of the Eiffel Tower.

Visit the House of Victor Hugo.

Visit the Museum of Romantic life (what better place than in Paris?).

Otherwise, all National museums are free if you're under 18.

And most of them (but not all) are free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month in the winter.

Otherwise, feel "free" to contact me if you're in the mood to spend some money on me!
